Kuna indians of Panama, wind strings of glass beads around their legs known as wini’s. The wini is wrapped around the forearms and calves, they come in a variety of colors and when they are wrapped around the leg they form beautiful traditional geometric designs.This practice, as well as sporting a nose ring are signs the woman is married.
