Photo of merging oceans taken during an Alaskan cruise. The two bodies of water merge in the middle of the Alaskan gulf and foam develops only at their junction. Different salt percentages within the waters causes different densities, resulting in a difficulty to mix, similar to oil and water. Photo credit: Kent Smith
